Extension lecture on Sir Syed held at AMU Malappuram Centre

ALIGARH/MALAPPURAM:The Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre organized an extension lecture on “Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Aligarh Movement and the Aligarh Muslim University”. Scores of teachers enroll in new UGC HRDC courses

Aligarh:Around 170 University and College teachers have enrolled in a recently launched three new courses of the UGC Human Resource Development Centre, Aligarh Muslim University. These courses include a three-week Winter School in Disaster Management, a Subject Refresher Course in Library and Information Science and a four-week Orientation Programme 140.

Chinese delegation visits AMU

AMU student to participate in National Games 2016

Aligarh: BA LLB (third year) student of Aligarh Muslim University, Mr Amaan Ali Shah brought laurels to Aligarh Muslim University yet again after qualifying for the National Games 2016 to participate in the Rifle Shooting event.This young shooter from AMU recently won the North Zone, Dr Karni Singh shooting Range at Tughlabad, New Delhi.He has also qualified to play for obtaining ‘National Rankings’ after winning the two events of ‘Small bore free Rifle (NR) Championship 50 M Men Individual’ at the senior and junior levels. He won the events with a score of 584 out of 600.

AMU announces dates of Entrance Examinations

Aligarh:The Office of the Controller of Examinations, Aligarh Muslim University has declared the dates of competitive entrance examinations scheduled to take place in 2016.AMU will conduct the MBBS/BDS, Tier I, entrance examination test on April 10, 2016 while the Tier II test for admissions in the MBBS/BDS courses will be conducted on May 29, 2016.

JNMC organizes free pacemaker camp

Aligarh:The Centre of Cardiology, J N Medical College, AMU recently organized a free pacemaker camp, which was attended by a large number of patients on single and dual chamber pacemaker, CRT and ICD.During the camp, Professor M U Rabbani, Director, Centre of Cardiology informed that Pacemaker is a device surgically implanted in patients with low heart rates, while ICD is a technologically more advance version of pacemakers to restore heart rhythm by giving electric shock internally in life threatening heart rhythm disturbances.
