Aligarh:Professor Nawab Ali Khan, Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University recently delivered a Key-Note Address at the UGC and ICSSR sponsored two-days National Seminar on ‘Financial Inclusion in the Pursuit of Poverty Reduction and Growth’ at Midnapore. Prof Khan attended the National Seminar as the Chief Guest.

JNMC mourns demise of Prof Shahab Hashmi

Aligarh:The Faculty of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU recently held a condolence meeting to mourn the sad demise of Professor Shahab F Hashmi, Chairperson, Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ENT).Prof Amanullah Khan, Dean, Faculty of Medicine said that a condolence resolution was passed to convey deep sorrow and grief at Prof Hashmi’s demise.

AMU gets new Registrar and CoE; Prof. Javed Akhtar to continue as FO

Office of Chief Election Officer announces Donors Category Election

Aligarh:The election programme of the University Court Election of the Donor’s category, Aligarh Muslim University has been announced.Professor Jamshed Siddiqui, Chief Election Officer has confirmed that the notification of the voter’s list was done on August 9, 2016 while any objections and corrections of voters list  and settlements of objections and finalization of the voters list will be done till August 16, 2016.He said that August 22, 2016 has been declared as the last date for nomination and scrutiny of nomination papers while the allotment of serial numbers by lottery method and withdrawal of nomination papers will be done on August 24, 2016.

Sir Syed National School at Jaula gets ISO certification

AMU soon to become 100 percent WiFi Zone

ALIGARH:Aligarh Muslim University campus will soon be a 100 percent WiFi-Zone. After a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between AMU and National Informatics Centre Services Inc, University Grants Commission (UGC), the university campus will have WiFi-Internet cover in all varsity departments, residential halls and offices.

Eleven AMU Law students qualify UPPCS (Judicial Services)

Aligarh:At least 11 Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University students Sunil Kumar Nagar, Asma Sultana, Amir Suhail, Md Zulqarnain Alam, Shahnaz Ansari, Sandeep Singh, Arif Nizamuddin Khan, Diwakar Kumar, Nidhi Yadav, Vidhudhi Meha and Saima J A Siddiqui have qualified the UPPCS (Judicial Services) examination 2015, result of which has been announced by the commission on August 5, 2016.

अफाक़ अनुशासनहीनता एवं दुराचरण के आरोप में निलम्बित

अलीगढ़: अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविधालय के मनोविज्ञान के माॅस कम्यूनिकेशन विभाग में अफाक़ अहमद को अनुशासनहीनता एवं दुराचरण के आरोप में तत्काल प्रभाव से निलम्बित कर दिया गया है और उनके परिसर व इससे सम्बन्धित संस्थाओं में प्रवेश पर पाबंदी भी लगा दी गयी है।
प्रोक्टर प्रोफेसर मुहम्मद मोहसिन खाॅन ने बताया है कि आफाक़ अहमद को वीएम हाल के प्रोवोस्ट के साथ र्दुव्यवहार तथा विश्वविद्यालय सुविधाओं का अपने कमरे में अनुचित इस्तेमाल के दृष्टिगत निलम्बित किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि आफाक़ अहमद से 16 अगस्त को दोपहर साढ़े तीन बजे सहकुलपति कार्यालय में अनुशासन समिति के समक्ष अपना पक्ष रखने के लिए कहा गया है।
