AMU open a school in the riot hit area Muzaffarnagar

ALIGARH.Lt Gen (Retd) Zameeruddin Shah, Vice Chancellor,Aligarh Muslim University laid the Foundation stone of The Green School at Sultan Jahan Manzil, here on today. The Foundation Laying ceremony was organized by All India Muslim Educational Conference (AIMEC) and New Millennium Foundation, jointly.
Addressing the gathering, Gen Shah said that without education, no community can develop and the greatest service to the society can only be rendered through education. He said that the University administration is planning to open a school in the riot hit area of District Muzaffarnagar, through the fund collected by the students for Sir Syed Dinner.
Earlier Prof Riazur Rahman Sherwani, Hony. General Secretary, AIMEC, presented a history and highlighted the achievements of the conference. Padmashree Prof Syed Zilur Rahman, welcomed the Vice Chancellor and other guests. Mr Salman Jafri, secretary, New Millennium Foundation, informed about the Foundation and School. Mr Asad yar Khan, Hony Joint Secretary, AIMEC, proposed the vote of thanks. The program was attended by eminent personalities.
