TISA Organizes Workshop in AMU

ALIGARH:After living with a severe stammer for a big portion of life and actually finding a way in which I can control it, is a dream come true, said ‘Trasnsfluence: The Indian Stammering Insititute’ (TISA), Facilitator Dr Sachin Shrivastav. ALIGARH:The Computer Center, Aligarh Muslim University will relay the live webcast of the 62nd Annual University Convocation and Sir Syed Day.
Dr Parvez Mehmood Khan, Director Computer Center said that an exclusive web page has been dedicated for this purpose. He added that the URL for the live webcast is http:/www.amu.ac.in/convocation. The webcast of convocation proceedings will start at 11 am on October 16 while for the Sir Syed Day, webcast will begin at 10:25 am on October 17.

AMU to organize Annual Convocation on October 16

ALIGARH:The Aligarh Muslim University is holding its annual convocation on October 16, a day before the traditional commemorative meeting to be held on October 17 on the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, founder of the University. It was decided in a consultative meeting held in the Conference Room of Administrative Block today. The meeting was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah.

Zameer Uddin Shah (Retd.) has warned that he may be compelled to reconsider his decision for holding elections to AMU Students’ Union (AMUSU), if the present state of affairs continues at the campus. He was referring to some recent incidents of violence involving different student groups.

Ambulance Service started for AMU Students

ALIGARH.In order to provide round the clock medical
accessibility to the students of Aligarh Muslim University, the Vice
Chancellor Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah has given an ambulance to the Proctor
Office. The ambulance will provide free of cost service to the students,
living in different halls of university.

अलीगढ़।एएमयू के विधि विभाग में एलएलएम की छात्रा से छेड़खानी के मामले में सस्पेंड़ प्रोफेसर मौ.शब्बीर की अंतरिम जमानत को 17 जनवरी तक बढ़ा दिया है.ज्ञातव्य है कि एएमयू विधि विभाग के प्रोफेसर मौ.शब्बीर पर एलएलएम की कश्मीरी छात्रा ने यौन शोषण के आरोप लगाये।

Introduction cum Welcome Programme in Arts Faculty

ALIGARH.An Introduction cum Welcome Programme was organized in the Arts Faculty Lounge. Susan Strand, English Language Specialist will stay in the University for six weeks as a Visiting Faculty to help the Compulsory English teachers in Material production and Teachers training. This initiative is in continuation of the programme held in November 2013 on Designing Writing Objectives.

AMU students selected for UP State Football Camp

ALIGARH.Syed Umar Ashraf, and Mohd Saad Arshad, members of
AMU football club have been selected for the UP State Football Camp. The
selection was held at the meeting of Kanpur UP State Football Association.
Both the AMU Students will participate in the Football Coaching Camp at
Varanasi, and, if selected, will participate in the Santosh Trophy National
Football Tournament, to be held at Delhi.

Prof Tariq Mansoor, Secretary, University Games Committee, and Prof
Tabassum Shahab, President, Gymkhana Club, congratulated the players on the
remarkable achievement.

Workshop concludes on External Quality Assurance Programme

ALIGARH.A workshop on External Quality Assurance Programme,

under the National AIDS Control Organization, was organized
by State Reference Laboratory (SRL) in the Department of Microbiology,

JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. 

The workshop included lectures and extensive interactive sessions.

पुलिस की हार...एएमयू के प्रोफेसर शब्बीर का कोर्ट में सरेंडर, मिली अंतरिम जमानत,अगली सुनवाई 13 को

अलीगढ़।एएमयू के विधि विभाग में एलएलएम की छात्रा से छेड़खानी के मामले में सस्पेंड़ प्रोफेसर मौ.शब्बीर ने आखिरकार आज कोर्ट में सरेंडर कर दिया। सरेंडर के बाद एसीजेएम 6 कोर्ट द्वारा खारिज जमानत की सुनवाई एडीजे 11 कोर्ट में हुई। जहां दोपहर बाद प्रोफेसर शब्बीर को कोर्ट द्वारा अंतरिम जमानत दे दी गयी। साथ ही आगे की जमानत पर सुनवाई 13 जनवरी प्रदान की गई है।
