Prof Rezavi delivers IHC Session Annual Symposium lecture

ALIGARH:Professor Syed Ali Nadeem Rezavi, Deputy Coordinator, Centre of Advance Study in History, Aligarh Muslim University recently delivered the Annual Symposium lecture of the 77th  session of Indian History Congress (IHC) on the topic of 'The Nation and the Monuments',
in which he gave detailed deliberations on ‘Mughal Monuments and the Nation’. The IHC session was held at the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.
This session had a robust participation from the Aligarh Muslim University as Prof Shireen Moosvi, retired AMU’s Department of History academic attended the programme as the General President. AMU Professors associated with the University’s Department of History, Prof Ishrat Alam and Prof Ramesh Rawat were the Secretary and Treasurer of the session respectively.   
AMU teachers Prof Shamir Hasan, Dr Jabir Raza, Dr Shamim Akhtar and Dr Jawaid Akhtar also presented papers during the IHC session.Meanwhile, the organisers of the IHC session have confirmed that eminent historian Prof Irfan Habib, emeritus Professor, AMU will attend the next session as the IHC Vice-President, while Prof Shireen Moosvi and Professor Syed Ali Nadeem Rezavi will attend the forth coming session as IHC Executive Members.
