AMU Malappuram Center celebrate Onam with joy and fervor

Aligarh:Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Center organized a special program as part of the celebrations of Onam, the biggest and greatest festival of Kerala.

Professor TN Satheesan, Director, AMU Malappuram center, while addressing the celebrations, said that the beauty of India lies in its diversity and understanding others is necessary for peaceful coexistence in a multi cultural country like it. He told that the festival of Onam provides us an opportunity to gain an insight into the culture of Kerala. Professor Satheesan congratulated the students for their active participation in the celebrations.
On the occasion students of the Center organized various cultural and sports competitions as part of the two day celebrations which included flower carpet, sack race, tug-of-war, arm wrestling, mehendi design, folk song and dance. The overall trophy was awarded to final year BA llb students of the Department of Law.Muhammad Ajmal, Convener, Iva Sajan, Co-Convener, Shailendra Singh, U Asharaf,  Shaffy M , Nousheek P C, Ahmmad Shameer,  Ranna KT, Aysha Sana, Shabana KP, Fatima Karaama and Jibin Farha played an important role in the organization of the program. Ramsha Tanvir conducted the program.
