JNMC mourns demise of Prof Shahab Hashmi

Aligarh:The Faculty of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU recently held a condolence meeting to mourn the sad demise of Professor Shahab F Hashmi, Chairperson, Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ENT).Prof Amanullah Khan, Dean, Faculty of Medicine said that a condolence resolution was passed to convey deep sorrow and grief at Prof Hashmi’s demise.
He added that through the resolution, heartfelt sympathies and condolences have been sent to the members of Prof Hashmi’s family.
Prof Tariq Mansoor, Principal, JNMC and Prof S C Sharma, Department of ENT also expressed sorrow on the demise of Prof Hashmi.The meeting was attended by a large number of JNMC teachers, doctors, students and non-teaching staff.Prof Hashmi passed away after a prolonged illness on Thursday at a New Delhi hospital.
After the last rites, the deceased was buried at the AMU graveyard and his funeral was attended by the teaching and non-teaching staff of JNMC and other departments and faculties.
