The inaugural function was graced by the presence of Professor Tariq Mansoor, Principal and CMS, JNMC and Prof Amanullah Khan, Dean, Faculty of Medicine.
Other faculty members of JNMC were also present on the occasion, which was hosted by Mr Malik Huzaif Shabeeri and Asma Aftab. During this inaugural function, the dignitaries focused on the importance of co-curricular activities for the students and also applauded the society’s hardwork to make this college week successful.
Later the college society chair-holders, President Dr Fatima Khan, Vice President Mr Zulquarnain and General Secretary Mr Uzair Ashfaque infused enthusiasm in the crowd that was equally energetic.The JNMC Tarana Team performed the University Tarana and the National Anthem, uniquely to the tunes of a guitar played by Mehboob Alam.Finally the trailer for the event was unveiled, after which Dr Jameel Ahmad commenced the ‘Bait-Bazi’ event between the teachers and the students.
The event took off with great couplets from both sides with Prof Shaista Vasanvala leading the team of teachers and Shahnawaz Ahmad leading the team of students. The event concluded with the teachers appreciating the efforts of the students with cash prizes.
