17 prestigious companies to visit AMU in the coming year for placement

Aligarh:Aligarh Muslim University students are expected to get a bucket full of job opportunities in the coming year with at least 17 prestigious companies scheduled to visit the AMU campus with job offers.
Mr Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General) informed that an IT company from Bengaluru, slotted to visit the campus, would be hiring BA (Economics) and Statistics students with an annual package of Rs 9 lakh. He said that renowned companies like TCS, HCL Technologies, IBM, Asian Paints, U-Flex, Medha Foundation, Srijan, Azim Premji Foundation, Airtel, Policy Bazaar, Tata Teleservices, Capital Via, etc have planned to visit AMU in the coming year. Mr Hameed told that a mega job fair as well as three-day counseling workshop on ‘Jobs in Govt. Sector’ has also been programmed for the next year.

Mr Hameed highlighted that ‘Make in India’ and ‘Smart City’ initiatives of Central Govt. are expected to bring new revolutions in the employment sector. He said that the Govt. has also introduced FDIs which would bring further development in manufacturing, Real Estate, Banking, Insurance and other sectors.

Mr Hameed also thanked AMU Vice Chancellor Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah (Retd.), Pro Vice Chancellor Brig S Ahmad Ali (Retd.) and other members of the administration for their constant support and guidance.

On the occasion Mr Abdul Jabbar, Manager, NSIC and Mr Mansoor Hasan Khan, HR Manager, Soft Nice company were also present.
