School Magazine released

ALIGARH:The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah today released the annual magazine of the Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys).


Addressing on the occasion, Lt. Gen. Shah said that the School has published the first issue of the School Magazine which will be an annual feature of the school. He said that this school has played an important role as a feeder institution of the University and a number of its students have brought laurels to their alma mater.

On this occasion, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S. Ahmad Ali, Registrar Dr. Asfar Ali Khan, Director of School Education Prof. Mohd. Gulrez, Deputy Director, Prof. Omar Farooq, Principal of the School, Maj. S. M. Mustafa (Retd.), Teacher Incharge English, Dr. Syed Faiz Zaidi, Teacher Incharge Hindi Dr. Mohd. Ilyas and student editors Ahmad Ozair and Abdul Hannan were also present.

Maj. S. M. Mustafa said that the Senior Secondary School (Boys) was established in 1987 through the University Act. He said that six students of the school have qualified the National Defence Academy (NDA) written exams and twenty students have joined IITs this year. Moreover, a number of students have joined MBBS/BDS and Engineering courses throughout the country.
