AMU Drama Club members perform ‘Big B’

Aligarh:Members of the Drama Club, Cultural Education Centre (CEC), Aligarh Muslim University recently performed ‘Big B’, a play based on Munshi Premchand’s short story at the Kennedy Hall Auditorium.
Written by Niti Phool and Dr M Sayeed Alam, ‘Big B’ was directed by Ahmad Omair. AMU students Mozzam Ahmad, Amit Kumar and Umair acted in the play, which had an audience of over a thousand students and academics.
    
The University Drama Club was established under the guidance and direction of the then General Education Center, Coordinator, Sardar Mohd Khan in 1966. It is one of the most vibrant clubs of AMU and is known for its significant contribution in the field of Drama, Theater and Acting. The club won the 1987 North Zone championship, and the 1988 National championship at Akola, Maharashtra. It has also won the National Championship ‘Nazarene Awadh’ in 1988 at Lucknow.
