17 AMU students suspended

Aligarh:The Aligarh Muslim University has recently announced suspension of 17 students for their involvement in suspicious activities during a major law-and order problem in the University campus.
The suspended students have been identified
as Mohammad Sheezan Khan, BA; Mohd Arsalan, B Sc; Khan Yashab, B Com; Mohd Naseem Ahmad, BA; Aqiv Raza, MA (Mass Com); Mohammad Khuloos Khan, BSW; Taoqeer Ali Khan, BA (Islamic Study); Md Norain Khan, M Ped; Mohammad Abdullah, B Com; Farhath Husain, BA; Arsalan Faris, PGDIBF; Mohd Naved, BA; Kadir Jamal, MA (Mass Com); Faizan Ahmad, MFC; Shakir Ali, BA; Mohammad Khalid, Dip in Leather and Footwear Techniques and Ameerul Haq, BA.
Professor Khan said that as per the CCTV footage of Proctor’s Office the aforementioned students were present with the unruly students and were also involved in suspicious activities during the gunshot firing in the intervening night of 23/24.04.16. He informed that the students also set on fire University property- Proctor’s Office, Dean Student’s Welfare Office, Guest House No 2 and destroyed the CCTV camera of the VC Lodge. The incident further led to the killing of two youths, Professor Khan added.The University campus as well as its maintained institutions is also placed out of bound for the suspended students, Professor Khan further said.
