Prof Islam nominated as ‘The Indian Council for Philosophical Research’ member

Aligarh:Professor Tariq Islam, Chairman, Department of Philosophy, Aligarh Muslim University has been nominated as a member of The Indian Council for Philosophical Research, a premier body under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt of India, which monitors and funds research in philosophy in India.

He has been nominated as a UP state member of the council for a period of three years.The council offers scholarships, including Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Post Doctoral Fellowships (PDF) and General Research Fellowship (GRF) and provides funds for senior scholars/University faculties of philosophy to carry on research of their interest.This Council also publishes a well known philosophy journal of international repute known as ‘Journal of Indian Council of Philosophical Research (JICPR)’.
