Dr Rizvi attends International conferences to chair technical sessions

Aligarh:Dr S Mohammed A Rizvi, Interdisciplinary Department of Remote Sensing and GIS Applications, Aligarh Muslim University recently attended the Joint  5th International Conference on Earth Observation for Global Changes( EOGC) and 7th International Conference on Geo-Information Technologies for Natural Disaster Management (GiT4NDM) in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr Rizvi chaired technical sessions in these conferences. During the UAE trip, he also successfully completed a Pre-Conference workshop on ‘Open Source hand-on GIS Workshop for Disaster Management using QGIS and GRASS’ before the start of the conferences in UAE.
Dr Rizvi has earlier attended and presented research papers at international conferences and seminars in Kingdom of Saudia Arabia, Iran and Thailand. He has also been a member of international advisory committees/boards, international and national Technical and organizing committees and editorial boards.
He has also attended the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) ‘Use Interaction meet’ (IUIM-2016) held at Dehradun, Uttarakhand , organized by Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Department of Space, Govt, of India.
