AMCAT conducted in AMU for Diploma Engineering girl students

Aligarh:The Training and Placement Cell, University Women’s Polytechnic in collaboration with Aspiring Minds Assessment Private Limited, a Bangalore based leading employability evaluation and certification company, recently conducted the Aspiring Minds Computer Adaptive Test (AMCAT) for Diploma in Engineering girl students at University Women’s Polytechnic.

While pointing out that the test was being conducted for the first time for Diploma level girl students, Dr Salma Shaheen, Principal, University Women’s Polytechnic informed that the students can take this test to present a picture of their skills and abilities to the companies.
She added that AMCAT is a computer-based assessment test, wherein students from Engineering, Diploma Engineering, MBA and other graduate courses are assessed on aptitude, skills, personality and behaviour.She further informed that the test results have been handed over to Aspiring Minds corporate clients to help them hire the candidates in a scalable, consistent and cost-effective manner.Dr Shaheen said that AMCAT conducted in colleges and university campuses helps in minimizing costs and increasing the reach.
Mr Tariq Ahmed, Training and Placement Coordinator, University Women’s Polytechnic informed that 40 students from various branches of final year Diploma in Engineering appeared for the test.Meanwhile, Mr Shoeb Khan, Area Manager (Operations) and Mr Waseem, Event Administrator, Aspiring Minds Private Limited said that Aspiring Minds has a large number of reputed companies as their clients and AMCAT score is well regarded by them.Mr Khan praised the efforts of Mr Saad Hameed, TPO (General), AMU and Mr Jahangir Alam, TPO, University Women’s Polytechnic for extending them all logistic support required to conduct the test.
