Chinese delegation visits AMU

ALIGARH:A two-member delegation of Uyghur Medicine Research Centre, Xinjiang, China visited the Aligarh Muslim University under the leadership of Mr. Abulimiti, Director, Research and Development, and met the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Brig. S. Ahmad Ali to discuss the prospects of cooperation between his Centre and the Aligarh Muslim University in the field of Unani medicine.


Showing special interest to initiate cooperation in Unani pharma, the Chinese delegation informed that there were great prospects of AMU’s Unani medicine prepared by the A. K. Tibbiya College Dawakhana as Unani medicines were earning popularity amongst the Chinese people fast. Mr. Abulimiti urged the Pro-Vice Chancellor to help start a trade relationship between AMU and his Centre for Unani medicines prepared by Tibbiya College Dawakhana.

Welcoming the initiative, Pro-Vice Chancellor Brig. S. Ahmad Ali assured the delegation that AMU will consider if a proposal is submitted by the Uyghur Medicine Research Centre to this effect.
