Review Meeting on E-Pathshala Program at AMU

Aligarh:The Department of Community Medicine, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a successful “Review Meeting” on the E-Pathshala Programme of the Government of India. Professor C P Mishra, Department of Community Medicine, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, who is also the National Secretary General, Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine, inaugurated the meeting.


Being the Principal Investigator of the subject, Professor Mishra addressed the participants and appreciated the efforts of Department of Community Medicine in the preparation of the modules under the guidance of Prof. Najam Khalique, Chariman of the Department and the Subject Co-ordinator as well.

Prof. Najam Khalique introduced the participants and the team of the Department involved in the development of the modules. He also explained the details and the critical analysis of the modules.

Prof. Tariq Mansoor, Principal and CMS, JN Medical College said that this method of providing free access e-learning modules is a step taken in the right direction.
Prof. Ali Amir, Prof. M. Athar Ansari, Dr. Anees Ahmad, Dr. Saira Mehnaz,  Dr. Salman Shah, Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi, Dr. Uzma Eram, Dr. Tabassum Nawab, Dr. Urfi, Dr. Nafis Faizi, Dr. Maroof, Dr. Shakthi, Dr. Mohd Tabish Khan, Dr. Istiyaq, Dr. Najmul Aquib khan  and residents of Department of Community Medicine participated in the Review Meeting.

The E-Pathshala Programme is an initiative of the Ministry of HRD under its National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT) aimed at developing e-learning content for postgraduate students of the country. The Department of Community Medicine, J.N. Medical College is developing 31 modules for the subject of Social Medicine and Community Health.  In this subject only 16 medical colleges in India have been identified to develop the required modules and the Department of Community Medicine is one of them.
