The committee, through assigned statement, has said, “Since assuming the august office of Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah has been consistently striving for ensuring quality education at the AMU and for retaining and developing the glorious AMU traditions. It is owing to his dynamic leadership that the AMU has been recently ranked as one of the top most universities in the country and that it earned 'A' grade as part of the NAAC assessment”.
The statement said, “It is downright deplorable that some disgruntled elements have been indulging in his character assassination. The members of the Committee denounce the use of abusive epithets by the President of FEDCUTA. It amounts to degrading the prestigious office of the Vice Chancellor of AMU”.
The Committee has noted with admiration, “Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah's concern for celebrating the Bicentenary of the Founder of the AMU and his resolve to launch various laudable schemes and projects for enriching Sir Syed Ahmad Khan's legacy”.
The statement upheld, “Lt. Gen. Shah’s move for establishing quality schools especially for the Muslim community speaks volumes about his commitment to Sir Syed's ideals. It is very unfortunate that his valuable efforts for empowering the Muslim community and for taking the AMU to greater heights of academic excellence are not appreciated by vested interests. The Committee reaffirms its pledge to work for the progress of the AMU, a cause, which should be dear to every well-wisher of the AMU”.
