AMU Guest Faculty, Dr Arshad attend Summer School in China varsity

Aligarh:Dr Arshad Amin, Guest Faculty, Department of Remote Sensing and GIS Applications, Aligarh Muslim University has recently come back after attending ‘Geo-informatics Summer School 2016’ at Laboratory for Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing (LIESMARS) Wuhan University, China.The academic event in which Dr Arshad participated in had attendance of distinguished scientists and researchers from all over the world.  The summer school focused on ‘BDS/GNSS high precision positioning and navigation, Data mining of night-time light remote sensing and online sharing of Geospatial Data, Algorithm and Model’.During the event, Dr Arshad delivered a presentation on, ‘The Current Technology and Approach for Geospatial Data Sharing’, in which he emphasized how to develop a computerized architecture allowing to manage efficiently GIS data and related metadata and how to develop high reliability web-mapping applications.Dr Arshad is a young researcher in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS technology.
