AMU student shines in CDS examination

ALIGARH: Rajesh Kumar, a final year student of BE Mechanical, Z.H. College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University has qualified the prestigious Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination and the interview held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 141th Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
Kumar, the only student from Aligarh, out of 166 selections this year, has already joined the Military Academy for an 18 month training before being finally inducted into the Indian Army.
Showing profound respect to Aligarh Muslim University’s rich cultural ethos and proudly claiming "Jo Abr Yahan Uthega Wo Sare Jahan Pe Barsega" (the cloud rising from here will rain all over the world), Kumar said that he had great respect for the founder of the University, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and his educational mission which inspired him to achieve this success.Rajesh Kumar has also been a part of the students’ team which has recently developed an international standard Formula Racing Car.
