AMU Scholar returns after attending Teaching Assistant Program in USA

Aligarh: Mr Mohd Asjad Husain, Research Scholar, Department of English, Aligarh Muslim University recently returned to India after successfully completing a ten-month Full Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program in the United States of America.

Mr Husain, who was awarded the Certificate of Recognition for his distinguished services to the program also studied courses in Applied Linguistics, American Studies and continued his research in the United States while serving as a cultural ambassador of India at University of California, Davis.
During his stay in the United States, Mr Husain was invited by several schools, colleges and University departments to give lectures on Indian culture which led him to leave a positive impact about India in the United States. He also attended several international seminars and conferences, which included the prestigious Mid-Year -Conference in Washington DC and the Parliament of World’s Religions.
Mr Husain also interacted with different religious organizations and campus ministries and worked for inter-religious peace and harmony.He has been given the title of ‘Messenger of Peace’ by the Davis Community Church.  His work was also acknowledged by Cal Aggie Christian Association, Davis Community Church and UC Davis Sikh Association etc among other organisations. 
During his stay in the United States, Mr Husain also interacted with members of AMU Alumni associations and was appreciated for his achievements.Mr Mohd Asjad Husain is pursuing his research work under the supervision of Professor Mohd Rizwan Khan.
