AMU 10(+2) girls organize Annual Award and Prize Distribution Function

Aligarh:The Senior Secondary School (Girls), Aligarh Muslim University recently organized its Annual Award and Prize Distribution Function.

While presiding over the function, the Aligarh Muslim University Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (retd) said that the prize winners should be inspiration for other students in encouraging them to win.
While applauding the achievements of the students, the Pro Vice Chancellor said that the huge reservoir of talent in the Senior Secondary School students is because of the motivation of their teachers and parents.
The Pro Vice Chancellor also pointed out that the AMU administration is trying to rope in the best teachers from all over the country for Senior Secondary Education in AMU.
The Pro Vice Chancellor later presented the Papa Miyan Padma Bhushan Award to Asna Mahmood of Class XII (PCB) and Mumtaz Jahan Haidar Academic Memorial Award to Bushra Salahuddin of Class XII (Social Science). Ms Nigar Qasim announced these awards. While Ms Nabila Adnan announced the prizes for Literary and Cultural events and Mrs Shahnaz Iqbal announced the Sports Events awards.
Mrs Naghma Irfan, Principal, Senior Secondary School (Girls) with the welcome address for the guests presented the Annual Report of 2014-15. The report stated that the result of class XI was 98.1 percent.
The Director AMU schools, Professor Mohd Gulrez; the AMU Registrar, Dr Asfar Ali Khan and Secretary, Female Education, Mrs Zakia Athar Siddiqui also distributed prizes to winners.The function also had cultural performances including Ghazal performances by Sakshi Sharma and Hansika Saxena and a song performance by Asna Mahmood and group.
Mrs Zoya Samar conducted the programme while Mr Mohd Tafzil Khan proposed the vote of thanks.
