JNMC team conducts workshop at Annual Conf and Global Summit

Aligarh:The Difficult Airway team of the Department of Anaesthesiology, JN Medical College and Hospital was recently invited to conduct the Difficult Airway and Bronchoscope workshop in the 22nd Annual Conference of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Global Summit of International Sepsis Forum held at Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

While the workshop was co-ordinated by Professor S Moied Ahmed, the Instructors were Dr Obaid A Siddiqui, Dr Shahna Ali, Dr Farah, Dr Manazir and Dr Moazzam, from JNMC, AMU; AIIMS, New Delhi and GMC Chandigarh.The workshop comprised of manikin based hands-on training, Ultrasound guided airway assessment, human simulator based difficult airway case discussion on the first day and Bronchoscope guided intubation, Diagnostic and Therapeutic uses, Assessment of Bronchial segment and tracheobroncheal tree on the second day.
The highlight of the workshop was the unique move by the organizers to deliver four workshops in one platform. Around 40 delegates from different specialty attended the workshop. The event also had a post-workshop quiz, in which prizes were awarded to the participants.  It was for the first time that a human simulator based Difficult Airway training was conducted in Annual Conference of Critical Care Medicine.
