Aligarh:Tarique Ahmad Khan, Sabiha Jameel and Arisha
Fatima have got first, second and third prizes respectively in the ‘Stamp
Design Competition’ organized by Aligarh Muslim University as part of Sir
Syed’s Bi-centenary celebrations.
Dr Juhi Gupta, Assistant Professor, Centre for Women’s
Studies, AMU and Coordinator, Stamp Design Competition, who is also a member of
Sir Syed’s Bi-centenary celebration, informed that Tarique Ahmad is a student
of BE (Electrical) whereas Sabiha Jameel is pursuing PhD (Fine Arts) and Arisha
Fatima is studying B Sc (Zoology) at
AMU. She further informed that the awards carry cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 3,000
and Rs 2,000 respectively and the winning entries have been selected at a
meeting of the Jury members appointed by the Vice Chancellor. The prizes will
be awarded to the winners on the occasion of Sir Syed Day, 2016, she added.
