Hobbies Workshop, AMU organizes modeling competition and Science Exhibition

Aligarh:The Hobbies Workshop, Cultural Education Centre, Aligarh Muslim University recently organized a modeling competition and Science Exhibition in which over 500 students from various Aligarh based schools participated.One of the highlights of the event was ‘Code Hunt’, a programming competition to sensitize children to the growing importance of technology.
In the art and craft competitions category, Sabiha Khan and Mohd Sabir won the first prizes in the ‘Calligraphy’ competition. Asma Firoz won the ‘Paper Craft’ competition. Kaif Siddiqui and Vaishali Vas won the ‘Cartoon and Caricature’ competition. Arshad Ali bagged the best Photographer award.Meanwhile, school children also displayed their artistic abilities and skills in the ‘Clay Modeling’ competition. Magnificent models created by these school children were displayed during the programme.
Schools students also showed their scientific temperament by creating and exhibiting both non-working and working scientific models. The programme also had an ‘Automobile and Sculpture Design’ event that enabled students to make tangible proofs of their ideas and creativity.Mr Imran Khan, Secretary, University Hobbies Workshop, who was present with Mr Aziz Faisal, President appreciated the efforts of the students. He added that this is an excellent opportunity for youngsters to come out of the classroom and learn.
