AMU officer elected as AIFUOA VP

Aligarh:Aligarh Muslim University Deputy Registrar, Mr Suroor Athar was recently elected as one of the Vice Presidents of the All India Federation of University Officers Association (AIFUOA) for a two-years term during a General Body Meeting held at the Conference Room of the School of Social Sciences, Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU). He has been the General Secretary of AMU Officers Association for two consecutive terms.
Mr Md Seraj Ahmad Quadri, Assistant Registrar, AMU was elected as one of the Coordinators of AIFUOA for the state of Uttar Pradesh. Mr Bijoy Kumar Burman, (MP), Trinamool Congress, Joint Registrar, North Bengal University was elected as President of the AIFUOA.

The JNU Officers' Association and the Department of Computer and Information Systems, JNU also organized a seminar on the ‘Use of ICT in University governance’ at the Convention Hall, JNU. Around 200 participants and delegates from over the country including AMU officers Mr Athar and Mr Quadri along with Mr Masoodur Rahman, Deputy Finance Officer and Shehzad Husain, Assistant Controller attended the seminar.
