Admission tests for Class XI (Science) and Diploma in Engineering held

ALIGARH:The Admission Tests for admission to Class XI (Science) and Diploma in Engineering of the Aligarh Muslim University were conducted in a peaceful manner .More than 38000 candidates have applied for admission to Class XI (Science). For this course, entrance test was conducted from 10 am to 12 noon at five centres at Aligarh, Lucknow, Meerut, Patna and Srinagar out of which 23480 candidates appeared at 45 local centres in Aligarh.
For Diploma in Engineering, the entrance examination was held in afternoon shift at the above five test centres for more than 20 thousand admission seekers. It may be noted that 14983 candidates appeared at 35 test centres in Aligarh.

AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah (Retd.), along with the Proctor, Prof. Mohammad Mohsin Khan and Consultant Public Relation, Dr. Rahat Abrar visited several test centres and interacted with the parents of candidates. The parents appreciated the efforts of the University authorities to provide various kinds of facilities including drinking water and shelter. They said that AMU offered the cheapest educational facilities with high standard teaching and research, and this is why they were willing to get their children admitted here.

The Pro-Vice Chancellor, Brig. S. Ahmad Ali also visited several test centres and reviewed the arrangements made for the test.The National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers organized special help centres at Railway Station and other important places in the campus to provide guidance to the candidates.
