Aligarh:The Office of the Controller of Examinations, Aligarh Muslim University has recently issued notification for admissions in Phd programmes in various faculties/ Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit.
While Indian nationals applying for the Phd courses have to submit the application forms on or before July 4, 2016, the last date for Foreign nationals is July 11, 2016. The university will conduct entrance examinations for Phd aspirants, who are Indian nationals while Foreign nationals will be considered for admissions on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination only, subject to the approval of BOS on the synopsis of the proposed research work submitted by them with their application form.
The last date for submission of online application form for Indian nationals is June 28, 2016. The last date for submission of PDF generated copy of the application forms of Indian nationals in July 4, 2016.
The last date for submission of online application form of foreign nationals is June 30, 2016, while the submission of PDF generated copy of the application forms of foreign nationals is July 11, 2016.
Tests for admissions in Phd programmes are scheduled to be conducted on August 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 2016, while the declaration of results is expected on September 1, 2016 and presentation-cum-interview of the candidates will be notified by each chairman along with declaration of result of written test on September 10, 2016.
Convening of meetings of Board of Studies for recommending topics and supervisors will be on September 20, 2016. Holding of meeting of CASR for confirmation of admission or otherwise will be from September 26, 2016 to September 30, 2016.
Meanwhile, no employee of AMU/ any other organisation, other than AMU teachers will be allowed to complete admission formalities until and unless he/she submits a Leave Sanction Order of minimum two years from the competent authority for the whole duration of the program.
